Home Sales Stay Strong as More Choices Emerge for Buyers

Sellers are entering into the market with confidence, as listing prices remain on a steady upward climb. At the same time, buyers are acting fast. The average days on market for new homes and land have dropped compared to recent years, meaning that when buyers see something they like, they move faster.

Even though more properties are available, sales prices have dipped slightly from last year’s highs. This suggests that while inventory has grown, buyers are able to negotiate—yet sellers are still capturing nearly all their asking price. Our market continues to be healthy and balanced, avoiding the extremes of previous years when buyers faced stiff competition or sellers held all the cards.
