A friendly neighborhood full of amenities, and good people. Camaloch is one of Camano's premier areas to visit, and to live. All residents have access to the golf course, pools, and community center.
Camaloch: Camano Island’s permanent vacation.
This country club community is a little paradise. With a golf course, two swimming pools, and a chalet available for reservations, residents here have everything they need to relax, and enjoy their time on the island. The gated community offers a sense of safety, and closeness to your neighbors.
The Camaloch course boasts a full eighteen holes, with membership included automatically in home fees for residents. “I’ve seen the golf course grow” said Steve Love, a broker with Windermere Stanwood-Camano, “It’s become better managed, and bigger over the years.” According to Love, the waits at the course are minimal. Despite the excellent reputation of the club, he has never felt pushed on the green.
If golf isn’t your thing, then the community has many other things to offer. For example, two resident-only pools available for use in the summers. Or the chalet, which can be rented out for parties. While the amenities are nice (and included in the neighborhood membership fees) many residents choose to live here because of the feeling of safety that comes with a gated community. In fact, a good number of people here choose to snowbird, spending the warm summer months on Camano, and going elsewhere for the winter, spring, and fall.
“Living in Camaloch provides a quality of life, and it’s easy to have a peaceful feeling here,” said Love.
It’s not unusual to see residents waving to each other from their golf carts, as they drive around the neighborhood. It’s the kind of place where you get to know the people around you. Whether you see your neighbor’s son working at the local ACE Hardware store, or if you stop for a drink at Pub 282 (a local eatery) Camaloch is a place that’s worth calling home.
